FAQS
Why should I hire a videographer?
From the rehearsal dinner, the gathering of friends and family, the pre-ceremony preparations to the beautiful ceremony and fun filled reception, only video can capture the sights and sounds of your wedding day. Not having a professional video of their wedding is one of the biggest regrets couples experience. Your wedding video will be an heirloom that your family will always cherish.
Will the camera man be disruptive?
We are there to capture the moments of your day, not be a part of it. We remain inconspicuous throughout the wedding. We will not annoy your guests with bright lights or distract them from the attention that belongs to you. We do not interview guests unless requested. We dress appropriately for the occasion. No jeans or t-shirts.
What are the differences in your finished edits?
-
A Full Length Edit includes the full ceremony (edited between different camera angles) and the main events of the pre-ceremony (first look, portrait session) and reception (first dance, cake cutting, toasts, etc.). The edit follows the timeline of the day and typically runs 60 - 80 minutes.
-
Feature Film follows a timeline edit while condensing the day to 15 - 25 minutes. This edit includes the full vows and first dance.
-
Highlight Edit is the most popular selection for our couples. The key moments of the wedding day are woven into a 7 - 12 minutes story that prominently feature the couple, bridal party, and immediate family. A private web link is provided so the couple may share with a select group of family and friends.
-
Trailer Edit are fun to share on social video platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo and generate great feedback from family and friends. This edit incorporates one or two background songs and runs 3 - 5 minutes.
-
Social Edit quickly previews the beauty of your special day in one minute.
What if my church has restrictions?
Most churches welcome videographers since they understand the importance of your day and your wish to have the memory captured on video. We work closely with the church on the best camera placement and microphone requirements. See a list of the many locations we have filmed.
When will I get my finished video?
It typically takes four to six weeks to receive longer edits. Shorter highlight videos are typically ready in two to four weeks.
Do you travel beyond the Lowcountry?
We are based near Charleston, SC and the majority of our weddings are filmed in the surrounding Lowcountry. However, we've filmed weddings throughout South Carolina and beyond (Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Colorado and the list continues to grow).
When should I reserve your services?
The sooner the better. We require a 25% deposit to reserve your day. We book on a first come, first serve basis.
